I recently lost my makeup bag at an airport. I usually keep other stuff in my makeup bag, like gum, extra contact lenses, hand cream. Rebuilding it has been a little like recounting personal evidence to a police officer except there's no police officer and nobody cares. While the act of doing your makeup and women wearing makeup has been a topic of controversy lately, I'm on the side where I consider it both an art form and enjoyable, and in many ways, an extension of my love for illustration. So replacing this kit that I had spent years building was a good opportunity to lighten the load, to cut corners with multi-tasking products and improve items I had lukewarm feelings about in terms of texture, color and formulation.
